Where Light Begins, the Heart Unfolds, presented as the inaugural exhibition of the new venue, centers on CHEN Cheng-Wei’s latest monumental seven-panel painting Seven Treasures Vision. The exhibition not only marks the reactivation of the gallery space, but also signals a pivotal moment as the gallery steps into its next phase—using art as a medium of illumination, allowing the gallery’s renewed presence to unfold within a clear, serene, and spiritually grounded atmosphere.

As the first exhibition following the gallery’s reopening, Seven Treasures Vision, resonates deeply with the significance of this moment. The work draws inspiration from the “Seven Treasures” found in Buddhist scriptures—symbols of auspiciousness, light, and blessing—including gold, silver, lapis lazuli, coral, giant clam, amber, and agate. Continuing from his Blossoms of Life and The Vibrancy of Life, Seven Treasures Vison further constructs an inner universe sustained by color and spiritual resonance.
