Artist

霍剛 (1932-)

HO Kan

Ho Kan integrates Eastern calligraphy and the art of seal carving with a minimalist yet poetic visual language to develop his distinctive, Eastern lyrical abstraction. He starts with elemental points, and, from them, he creates his own philosophy about the arrangement of the image, validating the existence of each element.

鄧卜君(1957-)

TENG Pu-Chun

Different from the elegance embodied by traditional literati painters, his work displays a sense of individual carefreeness; in particular, the unique technique of "rolled wrinkle strokes" created by himself has formed a unique vocabulary of modern magical ink painting. His fantastical and illusory representation seems to transport viewers to a surreal, magical realm of contemporary landscape beyond what is seen by the naked eyes.

李光裕(1954-)

LEE Kuang-Yu

It creates the unique form, style, and concept of the “void,” and demonstrates “the concept of silent void in the Oriental culture” that embodies the state of unifying the object and the self. It not only displays aesthetic values but also reveals the artist's contemplation on the state of life at that moment, conveying contemporary social implications.

宋曉明(1967-)

SONG Sheau-Ming

Personal memories in the depth seem to emerge from the painted surface, enveloping viewers in the feeling of tranquility and the atmosphere of lyric, creating a resonance within their heart.

周慶輝 (1965-)

CHOU Ching-Hui

Throughout his career as a photographer that has lasted almost three decades, Chou's subject matter has shifted from captivating journalistic events to creatively theatrical scenes, and his style has changed from documentary photography to fabricated photography. In his latest project, Animal Farm, Chou changed the role of photographer as a “hunter” and turned himself into a “director,” and amazed his audience with a bizarre and unsettling sense of existence in his characteristic way.

陸先銘 (1957-)

LU Hsien-Ming

Lu’s work has revolved around his complex cultural contemplation on the living environment. Through his humanistic observation, the evolution of his inner world and different research angles, the artist has delineated a certain solid and unique cultural form stemming from the lower social stratum in Taiwan. His creative work is his way of actively engaging the society and realizing his humanitarian care for this land while expressing his interpretation of history and reflection on this era.

許雨仁 (1951-)

HSU Yu-Jen

Hsu has broken through the existing boundaries of ink painting and is adept at using geometric patterns for the basic composition of his paintings. From old brush technique he developed a new way of expressing and thinking, with a minimalist but uninhibited and powerful visual sense expressing a domain of existence space that cannot be infringed on, implying endless life energy; with the precondition of freedom and liberation, he conveys his personal inner will, life horizon and his thoughts and reflections with regards the environment in which he exists.

楊北辰 (1970-)

YANG Pei-Chen

Yang is one of the representative hyperrealist sculptors in the Chinese contemporary art scene. His works are all created out of complete wood blocks that are exquisitely carved by hand and elaborately colored for mimetic effect, rendering them extremely realistic and almost impossible to tell that they are wood sculptures.

Daniel PULMAN

From Manchester to Qingshui, Pulman embodies the 18th-century European tradition of the Grand Tour in the 21st century. As a contemporary flâneur, he navigates cross-cultural and sometimes detached relationships, moving through diverse places and times, keenly observing and capturing the rhythm of each landscape and the lives of its people.
